Check three build rules and size the power supply

This page checks the processor and motherboard socket, the memory generation, and whether the selected power supply meets the published wattage figure. It does not check BIOS support, clearances, cables, firmware, cooling, or every board revision, so it cannot guarantee that a complete build will assemble or boot.

This view does not use one current retailer offer. Exact Newegg matches appear on category pages while the approved Rakuten catalog is fresh. We keep one dated daily price for an exact product when the source permits it, but a short record is not turned into a trend, valuation, or buy-or-wait answer.

Every source we use, limit or refuse, each with the reason.

Choose your parts

Your parts

Six slots, one per part type. Every choice resolves to a real specification with its manufacturer source, and the three bounded readouts below update as you change it. When current exact offers are available, the starting example uses maker and model order, then keeps the processor socket and memory generation aligned where it can. Price and commission do not choose the parts. This is not a recommendation and does not replace the exact motherboard, case, cooler, cable, and BIOS documentation.

Do not buy a power supply from this

The GPU is missing from this calculation, so the wattage below is a LOWER BOUND and must not be used to choose a power supply. We hold no exact published power figure for this graphics card. A reference-chip figure was not substituted for the selected board-partner card.

Totalno total

6 of 6 parts have no published price, so there is no total. We do not show a partial sum, because it would read as the cost of the build. Current offer prices and shopping links require JavaScript so their expiry can be enforced.

Slot counts, PCIe lane sharing, cooler clearance and a board's tested memory list are not checked here, and nothing on this page implies they are. Check those against the board's own manual before you order. What your existing PC is worth stops for the same reason the total does.

The working

How the figure is worked out

Every term, and what is deliberately left out

Continuous draw: 97.1 W, the sum of every published figure we could match.

Transient allowance: 0 W of rated capacity. Modern graphics cards briefly pull far more than their rated power, and a supply has to hold that spike without shutting down. Where a maker publishes no spike figure for a specific card, none is invented.

Margin: 20% applied once, after the transient conversion, not added to each part and then again at the end.

Memory is deliberately not in this sum. The only published memory power figure we hold is for a server module, which is not a desktop module. Substituting it would be inventing a figure, so memory is left out and said to be left out.

Warnings on this calculation: The GPU is missing from this calculation, so the wattage below is a LOWER BOUND and must not be used to choose a power supply. We hold no exact published power figure for this graphics card. A reference-chip figure was not substituted for the selected board-partner card.
