How current price comparison works
Current listings come from the approved Newegg Product Catalog through Rakuten Advertising. Every offer names the identified part, merchant, current price, availability, direct link, and time checked. We also keep our own dated record of the prices we publish, which is how a part can eventually be called cheap or dear against its own past rather than only against the rest of the checked market. Every price carries its checked date.
The history pages separately show 11 broad US government indexes, current to September 2026. Each one describes a category of goods, not the price of a specific component, and is labelled that way.
