Prefer the cheaper B650 board when it already has the slots and ports you need. X670 changes expansion capacity, not CPU or memory performance.

The decision turns on planned devices. Count M.2 drives, SATA drives, add-in cards, and high-speed USB ports on the exact motherboard. If they fit on B650, the larger X670 ceilings sit unused.
