What we measure, what we never collect, and what leaves this site when you follow a link.
Analytics and cookie choices
Plausible counts every visit without cookies. It may receive browser and device information and a referring page.
Google Analytics is run by Google, which receives the page address, the actions we measure on this site and browser and device information, and sets cookies that tell repeat visits apart. Its advertising features are off.
In the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and whenever we cannot tell which country a visit comes from, Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept on the bar at the bottom of the page. Decline loads nothing from Google. Your choice is kept in this browser for six months, then the bar asks again.
Elsewhere, Google Analytics loads with each page unless you choose Decline. Cloudflare, which delivers our pages, tells your browser which country the visit comes from.
Wherever you are, Cookie choices at the bottom of any page, or the button below, changes your choice. Decline stops Google Analytics on this site in this browser and deletes its analytics cookies. If analytics was running, the page reloads to apply your choice. Decline holds on every page; outside the countries above it is kept until you change it.
Componentprices uses Plausible and Google Analytics 4 to count page views and named actions such as filtering, sorting, comparing, downloading data and choosing a retailer. Plausible uses its base page-view loader and does not automatically track outbound links, file downloads, or form submissions. The named events do not include the words you type into catalogue search, the parts selected for a build, outbound destination addresses, or a reader profile.
There is no account system, newsletter, or email signup.
Three choices are kept in your own browser's storage, on your device only, and are never sent to us: the light or dark theme, the processor you pick to narrow lists to parts that fit, and any builds you save on the build page. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Contact-form field values are not added to analytics events. The contact form sends the fields you choose through a Cloudflare Worker and Turnstile security check to a private operator channel. The site does not publish the submission or create an account. A reply address is used only when follow-up is needed. Do not include passwords, account keys, private billing records, or other secrets.
Loading either analytics service sends the normal request information needed to deliver and measure the request. Plausible is served from pa.upjourney.com. Google Analytics is served by Google. Blocking either service does not stop search, filters, comparisons, downloads, or build checks.
When you click a source link, you leave this site. The destination can receive the normal request details sent by your browser, including your IP address, browser information, and referring page. The destination's privacy policy and terms apply from that point.
Current Newegg offer links are affiliate links supplied through Rakuten Advertising. Rakuten and Newegg can receive the normal request and referral information when you follow one, and ComponentPrices may earn a commission if a qualifying purchase follows. Compensation does not change specification data, compatibility rules, exact-model matching, or offer ordering.
